Parker Colorado Real Estate

The town of Parker can trace its roots back the mid 1800's, when the area was home to several claims and homesteads. Prospectors and land claimers lived in the area for many years and what would become Parker began with a small building located about 20 miles from present day Denver. The "20 Mile House" as it was called served several purposes over the years before finding its niche as a post office under the ownership of James Parker.

Parker has grown exponentially since its incorporation in 1981, from a population of less than 300 to its current population of more than 42,000. This rapid growth is sometimes credited to Jim Nicholson, a lawyer / real estate developer who spent 14 years developing Parker real estate. The town of Parker maintains several hundred acres of parks and open spaces that are laced throughout the community, creating vivid green spaces and areas of refuge from the stress of everyday life.
